Windows XP Staying Alive

Windows XP is being phrased out for Vista which has, so far,got a lukewarm welcome from many firms.Dell, Hp and Lenovo are exploiting loops holes in Microsoft's licensing terms to extend the operating system beyond June 30, 2008 the end of the life date.
The news come as Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer hints that XP could live longer if enough customers demand it.Dell is using a clause in the conditions for Windows Vista which lets it provide XP under the terms of a "downgrade license" for the Business and Ultimate versions of the new operating system.

Microsoft Confronts Tough Choice On Yahoo

Steve ballmer is facing one of biggest decisions of his career: Walk away from Microsoft's $42.7 billion acquistion offer for Yahoo or launch the largest hostile takeover battle in tech-industry history.
The choice comes after Yahoo(YHOO,news, msgs) declined to agree to a deal by the Saturday deadline set by the Microsoft's (MSFT,news, msgs) chief executive-and after the two sides failed to make any progress in recent weeks in resolving the disagreement over price that has divided them over the last three months. The Sales of Microsoft vista Sales pass 140 millions mark. But that wasn't enough to help Microsoft extend its string of lights-out quarterly financial performances. However , the results were skewed by Microsoft's booking of $1.7 billion in deferred revenue from its Express Upgrade to Window Vista and Microsoft Office Technology Guarantee programs as well as pre-shipments of Vista and Office 2007.

Semester Coming To a End

I am getting so close to the end of this semester, it bring a certain level of anxiety. There are so many things going on in my life and school is a positive event.
Through all of personal issues I am proud of myself for sticking with my classes. When life bring so many positive things, I just wait for the other shoe to drop. The beauty of life is that the shoe doesn't always drop like I expect it to do. I am trying to expect that those positive things can be a usual event, whether than a rare one. "Thank You Heavenly Father"

Microsoft in court Again

Published by Justin Mann , TechSpot.com

Microsoft finds itself defending the label once again. this time , the class-action suit is digging up information from Microsoft , including email discussions between employees regarding the label. Vista has cause Microsoft a lot of problems. I am just learning about Microsoft and from what I have experienced it has been all good. I have no built in bias about Microsoft and by not knowing about the others programs, such as XP's I am kind of neutral.

Keeping a Positive Attitude

I have tried to keep a positive attitude on a daily basic. I had a positive experience last week-end visiting my family, they re-enforce my energy. If not for energy that I have I probable would not have made this far. Also the staff and other student has been a great help as well. I receive a lot of support from my family, this mean a lot to me. I am not sure what I will do after I graduate, but one thing for sure it has been a great experience,

The Ceo of Microsoft Steve Ballmer famously called the much-hyped Microsoft Windows Vista a work in progress . My assessment of Class

Today Class talked about analog to digital,ASCII which stand for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. It was good to try to understand how data is converted to AC Electronic Signal and DC Electronic Signal. The three basic blocks within a computer are Microprocessor, Memory(Rom or Ram), and Input/Output Interface. This class gave a difference view of how the computer operate from the inside.

Terms & Concept

1- The basic types of signals are analog and digital.

2- ASCII Stands for -American standard code for information interchange.

3-IC Stands for Integrated Circuit

4- A Digital signal has two levels.

5-Digital communication of characters is possible by using ASCII

6-To digitize is to convert an analog signal into a digital signal.

7- An Integrated circuit is also called a chip.

8- CPU stands for central processing unit.

9- An Analog Circuit is also called a linear circuits, since linear by definition is a variation of an output in direct proportion to the inputs.

10- Multimeter is a device that is able to measure voltages, current and capacitors.

11-OHM-is the electric resistance between two points of a conductor, when a constant potential difference of 1 volt, applied to these points produces in the conductor a current of 1 ampere the conductor not being the seat of any electromotive force

Professor D

I don't know where to start when I talk about you, because if I would of being in someone else class coming back to College the results might be different. You have been very supportive in all phrases of this great adventure. The days when I have that extra wrinkle on my forehead you notice it and then give me support. Without that support I could of withdrew from all of my classes. Its amazing how one kind word or thank you can go so far in your life and someone else.

" Thank You For Everythings"

Class Activities

The Class in Internet Foundation were very exciting yesterday we cover a lot of material. The Class work our Wiki, which is WWKI known as WhatWeKnowIS. There were some links created and a additional page was created. We have cover so much this semester I never expected to learn as much. Its fun and challenging to create something and watch it evolve into something special. For all the things that I have been through, this has been very therapeutic , from the life in Marine Corps and up to the day. There is a lot to be thankful for ,but finally I am beginning to appreciate the beauty of like.

Going To Summer School

I am looking forward to going to summer school. I have that burning fire inside of me, something that I haven't had in a long time. I got that feeling of hope, eventhough I am disable there is something I can do to help other veterans. As I continue in my classes I am hoping to be able to tune to that special talent that I know I have with people. Now is the time to give back since so many people has giving to me over the years. I have been truly "BLESSED" this chance that God has given me I am thankful. Through all of years that I thought that I wasn't going to make it look at me now. I am motivated, hopeful, focus on to what I want to do.

Microsoft Complains About Privacy Online Ads.

Microsoft has proposed a tiered approach to protecting the privacy of people targeted by online advertising, saying advertisers should get permission before using sensitive, personally identifiable information to deliver ads. Microsoft filed comments on Friday in response to the US Federal Trade Commission's request for comments on its proposed privacy principles that would be self-administered by the online advertising industry. Microsoft 's proposal operates under the idea that the greater the risk to privacy, the greater the protection data should receive, Microsoft Official said.

Yahoo Want a Better Offer

Yahoo said they don't refuse the offer from Microsoft but will like a better offer. They also said threat from Microsoft about hostile take over will hurt negotiation. Microsoft also said if wasn't a agreement before April 26 they will take the offer to the shareholders. I wish that it will all work out for the shareholders in particular, because here lately they're the one that get hurt.

Microsoft Blame Game

In court there seem to be a blame game going on between Microsoft and NVIDIA. There seem to be reported that the graphic part od the driver is causing mostly the clashes. NVIDIA
reported to have caused 28.8% of the clashes,Intel 8.8% and ATI 9;3%. Microsoft data shows that it was responsible for 17.( of logged crashes. There are a lot of comments that support the program of Vista and we're using Vista in our classes. I haven't experience any problem since in being using it in class. Hopefully they all will work the bugs and everybody will benefit in long run.

Introduction

Hi I am DAWJAW I like to thank you for visting my blog. I'll be appreciative for any comments.
