Spring Break

I am going to enjoy this week off from school, but I know that I will do some studying. Its hard to set back and do nothing so I guess I'll do some studying. At least some of the pressure is off for awhile. If that will make any difference, I am proud of myself for the progress that I made in the first half of the semester. Now I have to keep the good work up and try to do a little better. I hope that all of my classmates enjoy their week off.

Vista Users

I think like I've said before a lot of Vista users are very satisfied with this program. I think anything that is new there will some rejections and I don't see a problem with Vista. Vista is the only program that ever used I wish I did have some experience in other programs. Maybe as time goes on I'll get experience. I think all of this is amazing and I am hungry to learn some more.

What I Learned Today In Class

The class all participated in setting up our Wiki on the web. The part that I played in helping with the web is, explaining the GNU General Parctice License. This license help protect people softwares and other things that are cover by copyright,pattern and other things that come under public domain. Richard Stallman established the GNU so all of the material that on the internet can be use freely with respect to original owners.The material can be used on the internet freely, but don't take ownership of other people property's.

Windows XP vs. Vista

Microsoft has plan on discontinuing XP windows on June 30th. It was a survey done and there were 83% of the people that took the survey was upset about the change to Vista.There were 3500 people in this survey. I think people in general don't like to change Windows XP has work for so long a lot of them don't want change. There are some said they had Vista and down sided to Windows XP. I guess there are pro and con on both side of the matter. I am just entering the field of IT so it doesn't affect me as much, because I never knew Windons XP.

GNU-GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE
GNC is a free copyleft license for software and other kinds of work. The licenses for most software and practical works are designed to take away your freedom to share and change the works. By contrast, the GNC is intended to guarantee your freedom to share and change all versions of a program to make sure it remains free software for all its users.
IPv6
Internet Protocol version6 is a network layer for packet-switched Internet works. It is designated as the successor of the IPv4, the current version of the Internet Protocol, for general use onthe Internet. The main changes brought by IPv6 is a much larger address space that allows greater flexibility in assigning addresses.
The extended address length eliminates the need to use network address translation to avoid address exhaustion,and also simplifies aspects of address assignment and renumbering when changing providers.
OSI-Model
There is seven layers for the OSI-model.
OSI-model is layered, abstract description for communication and computer network protocol design.It was developed as part of the Open Systems Interconnection(OSI) initiative and is sometimes known as the OSI seven layer model.
TCP/IP-Model
The TCP/IP Model is a specification for computer network protocols created in the 1970s by DARPA,an agency of the United States Department of Defense. It laid the foundations for ARPANET, which was the world's first wide area network and a predecessor of the Internet.

Mid-Terms

I am bless to have done well this semester in school. I have A and 2 B's that pretty good for a old veteran. Thanks gones out to so many people. Without their support I done know where I would be here in school.First of all I had to learn to trust people that something I don't talk about to much. Its hard to drop down that wall to start to trust someone beside those that are in my comfort zone. Each day is a challenge but I have know other choice but to continue.

Starting Something New

Its a good feeling to be able to participate in assignment that the other class members are doing. To be a part of anything is good for your self esteen. To be able to accomplish some of my goals is great. The assignmemt that I have for Internet Foundation Class is on GNU General Public License. My responsibility is tell the class what the license do's and don'ts. I will try to break it down to layman term for myself mainly.That okay because I am learning a lot from my Professor D.R.and she is my advisor as well. I hope that anyone that may read my blog will see that there is hope for anyone that is willingly to try. Thank You

Yahoo is at less listening to Microsoft

Apparently Yahoo at less owe it to their stockholders to listen to what Microsoft has to say.For Microsoft this would be a win win situation if the merger gones through. This is a interesting situation with these two large corporations.Its seem to be good deal for the stockholders, as for all of the executives at Yahoo I don't know. Well anyway I wish all of them the best in this situation.

The Few the Proud the Marine

The is one of proudest moment of my life serving in the Marine Corp and also some of the sadest days. Over all the Corp wins out over the negatives. Like they say once a Marine always a Marine. Being a Marine give me that deep rooted determination to never to give up. So I take this attitude here in school being highly motivated. When things get tough I get tough with it. I was proud to serve in the Marine Corp and serve my country.

Wiki is good for classrooms, work groups, families, sport teams,books,and fan clubs. Wiki is a database of pages which visitors can edit live. The bluiding blocks of a wikis are comments from visitors.
Camel Case is the practice of writing compounds words or prases in which the words are joined without spaces and are capitalized within the compound-as in Black Color of Mac.

I have learned so much in during this blog every week. The process of learning how to link differents subjects to my blog. Having the ability to put pictures on my blog. It may sound simple to some, but not for me.Also having this blog give the ability to share my thoughts to others. It just like having a journal that isn't as intimate. Stress Level During Mid-Term

There is a certain level of stress just returning to college, but it is mid-terms season. The sweaty palms,anxiety and the thoughts of not passing those tests. So what do I do keep steping forward and have faith in what I believe. I am in no lose situation because if I don't get the grade I wanted. I still have learned so much in the process and that cannot be taking from me. I am grateful for the opportunity in the attempt of this objective.

Microsoft Vista IE8

Microsoft is moving forward with IE8 Explorer. It is amazing how I just started studing IE7 Explorer. It show me that the field of Information Technology is such a fast growing field. Do to the completition in the software industries new technology is going at a astonishing rate. It can be so easy in getting behind.

My Update on Spring Semester

Shocking I know that I am still here . I am determine that I will accomplish my mission. There has been some rough days,but they didn't know that I am a US Marine. All of my classes are up to date , but there is those mid-term next week. As long as I continue to my best that all I can be expected to do .
